Not a West Wind figure this time, but a good old Gripping Beast, from their Late Roman range. These figures were sitting undercoated on my painting table for about 4 years before the acquisition of the West Wind guys inspired me to get this painted. As yet, we haven’t written any rules for artillery in ‘Hoc et Bellum’, so it doesn’t do very much in our games! Rome wasn’t built in a day!
